(ConcernedPatriot.com) – The GOP front-runner for president in 2024, former President Donald Trump, unveiled a new policy commitment on Tuesday, promising that if elected, he would sign an executive order on the first day of his second term in office to effectively end birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants and so-called “birth tourism.”
The policy plan, featured in one of the Agenda 47 movies his campaign distributed, was obtained by Concerned Patriots before making it available to the general public.
The slightly more than three-minute-long video features Trump saying, “As part of my plan to secure the border, on day one of my new term in office, I will sign an executive order making clear to federal agencies that under the correct interpretation of the law going forward, the future children of illegal aliens will not receive automatic U.S. citizenship.”
According to Trump, the fact that children of illegal aliens have the right to citizenship acts as a “magnet” and an “incentive” for future potential migrants to try to enter the nation illegally.
In the video, Trump claims Joe Biden “has launched an illegal foreign invasion of our country, allowing a record number of illegal aliens to storm across our borders.”
He said, “They arrived from all around the world. Even though these millions of border crossers entered the nation illegally, all of their future offspring will automatically become citizens of the United States under Biden’s present rules. Can you picture it?”
He continued, “They will be qualified for welfare, publicly financed healthcare, voting rights, chain migration, and a plethora of other government perks, many of which will benefit the parents who are here illegally.”
“This program is obviously a magnet that helps lure the torrent of illegals across our borders and is an incentive for breaking American laws. Millions upon millions upon millions of them arrive.”
Later in the video, Trump says, “It’s things like this that bring millions of people to our country. They enter our nation unlawfully. My approach will eliminate a significant impetus for further illegal immigration, discourage new arrivals, and motivate many of the foreigner’s Joe Biden has illegally admitted to our country to return home.
“They have to return. This was beyond anyone’s means. This is impossible for anyone to perform and is ethically repugnant,” Trump added.
The United States, according to Trump, “is among the only countries in the world that says that even if neither parent is a citizen or even lawfully in the country their future children are automatic citizens the moment the parents trespass onto our soil.”
He contends that the argument for giving illegal alien children birthright citizenship is flawed because it misinterprets the law.
In the video, Trump asserts that “this policy is based on a historical myth and a deliberate misinterpretation of the law by the open borders advocates.”
Trump further asserts that the so-called “birth tourism,” in which foreigners strive to give birth in the United States so their children will be born with American citizenship, will be eradicated by the executive order he promised.
According to Trump, his executive order would mandate that at least one parent must be a citizen of the United States or legally present in the nation.
He said, “In addition, my order will put an end to the unfair practice known as ‘birth tourism,’ where hundreds of thousands of women from all over the world squat in hotels for the last few weeks of their pregnancies to fraudulently and illegally obtain U.S. citizenship for the child, frequently to later take advantage of chain migration to bypass the line and obtain green cards for themselves and their family members.”
Trump continued, “We allowed this conduct, which is abhorrent and outrageous, to continue. To qualify, at least one parent must be a citizen or a permanent resident.”
The Biden administration’s open border policies cripple local and state governments, especially those near the southern border. This has to change, or America may never recover.
