6 Survival Uses For Black Pepper
1 – Fights Bacterial Infections
Black pepper contains antibacterial properties which can help fight off bacterial infections. The spice is also effective in helping conditions such as diarrhea, constipation and colic.
2 – Make The Ants Flee
Ants crawling all over your tent or your floors at home? Good thing they hate black pepper! Sprinkle the spice all over entryways (doors/windows), as well as other places where they tend to populate.
3 – Save Your Survival Garden
If you’ve got bugs munching on your plants, you can combine equal parts black pepper with flour to stop them in their tracks. Sprinkle the mixture around the fruits and veggies and the bugs will stay away.
If you’ve got larger pests (like deer) causing problems, there’s a black pepper solution for that too. According to Off The Grid News:
Blend together the following ingredients until smooth:
- 2 tbsp. black or cayenne pepper
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 4 medium onions
- 4 cups water
Mix well with about a gallon of water and spray your plants with the solution.
4 – Release The Phlegm
Respiratory inflammation and mucus is annoying to start with. But bring that into a survival situation, where there’s no pharmacy in sight, and it’s bound to feel ten times worse.
Luckily, black pepper’s anti-inflammatory properties will help fight a cough, and help you dislodge the phlegm and mucus stuck in your throat and lungs.
5 – Get Happy
Did you know black pepper is an anti-depressant? The piperine in black pepper is what gives it its kick. It’s also what the spice uses to boost your nervous system, and, thus, your mood.
6 – Boost Your Energy
Many preppers suffer from arthritis, rheumatism and gout. Not only does this impair their movement, but it can drastically affect their mood and outlook as well. Thankfully, black pepper essential oil can save the day.
Due to black pepper oil’s warming effects, it can help improve circulation and help relieve the pain caused from these conditions. This astounding oil also clears out uric acid and other toxins from the body.
