(ConcernedPatriot.com) – On Thursday, Elon Musk’s SpaceX launched the Starship rocket into orbit but experienced a mid-flight malfunction a few minutes later.
The first orbital flight of SpaceX’s Starship rocket was postponed on Monday after the company revealed the mission had been aborted just 15 minutes before launch owing to a “pressurization issue.”
The launch was moved to Thursday and launched successfully before failing a short time later. The failure is seen just about 48 minutes into the launch’s YouTube stream.
According to a CNBC story, the business has been working this week to address several undisclosed problems in preparation for its second attempt to launch from a private location in Texas on Thursday.
The Starship orbital launch, which the management of the business has emphasized, is experimental, resulting from years of regulatory effort and technological testing.
SpaceX had initially wanted to launch its first-ever orbital Starship as early as the summer of 2021.
Still, delays in development and obtaining Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval caused those plans to be postponed. Last week, the firm finally received FAA approval.
NASA’s goal to put astronauts back on the moon depends on the Starship rocket, which can carry people and cargo. NASA declared in 2021 that SpaceX had been given a nearly $3 billion deal.
