(ConcernedPatriot.com) – According to Russian authorities, three Ukrainian drones targeted Moscow in the early hours of Sunday. One person was injured and one of the four airports in the area had to temporarily close due to an incident.
It was the third attempt this week and the fourth assault against the capital region this month, adding to worries about Moscow’s susceptibility to attacks as Russia’s war in Ukraine enters its 18th month.

“Three drones were claimed to have attacked the city,” according to the Russian Defense Ministry, which described the incident as an “attempted terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime.”
Air defense systems around Moscow shot one down while two others were jammed. Those two collisions struck the capital’s Moscow City business center.
Images from the crash site showed a skyscraper’s exterior with damage to one report. “The incident “insignificantly damaged” the exteriors of two buildings in the Moscow City neighborhood,” according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
According to rescue personnel and the Russian state news service TASS, a security guard was hurt.

TASS also reported no flights entered or left the Vnukovo airport on the city’s southern outskirts for approximately an hour.
And all aircraft were temporarily barred from the air space over Moscow and the surrounding areas.
Since then, those limitations have been lifted.
A street close to the crash site in the Moscow City neighborhood has also been closed to traffic by Moscow officials.
Officials from Ukraine, who seldom accept responsibility for attacks on Russian territory, made no immediate comments.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a Ukrainian drone was shot down outside Moscow on Friday.
Two more drones hit the Russian capital on Monday, one landing in the middle of the city close to the Defense Ministry’s offices along the Moscow River, some three miles from the Kremlin.
The other drone destroyed several upper levels of an office building in southern Moscow.
In a separate strike on July 4, the Russian military reported that four drones were shot down by air defenses on the outskirts of Moscow.
A fifth was jammed and forced to crash.
The tower blocks damaged are in the "IQ" area west of #Moscow, less than 4 miles from Red Square.
If this was a target because of #Russia's ministries, hitting on a Sunday night was a good time to attack. There were no casualties.
