Trump's Solution To Help End School Shootings

( – According to former president Donald Trump, school shootings would be a thing of the past if just 5% of school teachers nationwide carried weapons.

When asked about what is causing the country’s mass shootings in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News backstage following his speech to the annual National Rifle Association (NRA) gathering here earlier this month, Trump said the nation’s mental health crisis, which is being fueled by drugs that are flowing across the border, is the main culprit.

“More than anything else, it’s mental health, and a lot of it is caused by drugs — the drugs are flowing in,” Trump said to reporters.

“At the border, we had it down to approximately a 32-year low. I learned today that they have increased ten times since just three years ago. What do you think of that? But by far, I believe that the most important factor is mental wellness. And drugs are a big part of that mental health problem.”

In his speech at the NRA convention, Trump advocated for a tax credit to enable qualified teachers to own firearms to defend vulnerable pupils in schools nationwide.

According to Trump, school shootings would be eliminated if just 5% of the country’s teachers, many of whom are former service members or law enforcement community members, were proficient with firearms.

“So you have teachers who are military vets — and I’m talking about people who know how to handle firearms, because that’s a talent,” Trump remarked. But you have instructors who are skilled with weapons. You don’t require a lot. I would say 5%, which is a significant amount.

“That many security guards would be impossible to employ. They are champion shooters and possess every bit as much talent in many cases. I would allow them to bring weaponry in with them if they qualified at a very high level.” He added.

“Additionally, they have the benefit of loving the students. They adore the pupils. I will have them enter with their weapons if they meet the requirements.

Moreover, I would have armed security at the front doors and other measures, but you would prevent me from doing so.”

People wouldn’t enter schools if they believed that teachers may carry weapons at any time. It would be best if you let everyone know that there will be a lot of teachers with guns – some say 15%, but I’d say 5% is enough.

You won’t have an issue if some lunatic believes that some of the teachers they will enter have guns are skilled with them, and indeed know how to use them. They won’t be required to utilize them.”
