The Survival Tool Burden – A Big Prepping Problem

Never heard of the survival tool burden before?

That’s because it’s a term I just made up. I first heard a similar term when I took a vacation and my doctor recommended a handful of supplements for me.

He mentioned I could take 10 different supplements if I wanted, or that if I wanted to take fewer pills, I just take 4.

He said when you combine several supplements into one pill you reduce the “pill burden.” No one likes to take 10 pills, he explained. And I agree, it’s definitely not fun gulping down pill after pill.

But it’s not like the pill burden is the opposite of fun it’s so bad…there are actually a few negatives to “the pill burden.”

These include people avoiding taking vital supplements…the increased chances of pills getting stuck in your throat…and the cost associated with extra pills.

Similar negatives found in the “pill burden” are also found in the “survival tool burden.”

Allow me to explain.

Most preppers don’t about the survival tool burden. They think it’s OK to buy a tool for this and a tool for that, never considering they could get more usefulness out of fewer tools.

And in the next few minutes, I’ll show you why if you don’t fix the “survival tool burden” you’re making a big mistake.

3 Benefits To Ending the Survival Tool Burden

The first reason my doctor told me to reduce the “pill burden” was because it made taking pill easier.

I was all for that, but the main reason I was interested in the theory is because it saved me money.

1 – Reduce the survival tool burden saves you money: Who doesn’t like saving money? I love saving money. And the truth is when you get one tool that does the job of several you’ve just found a way to keep more money in your pocket.

Probably the best-known example of a cost-saving survival tool are the 5-in-1 shovels you see. They have axes, hatchets, shovels, etc. all built into one tool. I have one myself.

Just the other day I found an incredible new tool that reduces the survival tool burden really well.

This crazy looking flashlight doesn’t just throw out incredibly bright light at the dark.

It does a whole bunch more.

Check out the Amazing Strikelight right here

2 – Reduce the survival tool burden to help save space: This is easily one of the top reasons to get more multitools.  For most survivalists, the idea of having to bug out to a remote location, carrying all they’ll need to survive with them is always top of mind.

That means everything they carry needs to be light so it will not weigh them down as they travel.

This is one of the ultimate benefits of using multitools. Take the classic Leatherman. Depending on the model,  this tiny tool has anywhere from 9-20+ tools built into a single, palm-sized device.

With a leatherman, there’s no need to carry around a knife, a screwdriver, a saw, a pair of pliers, a fish scaler. etc. That one tool will do the job of 20.

The same can be said of tons of other tools.

Sadly, one of the most useful items in a survival kit (a flashlight) doesn’t have a counterpart like the leatherman.

Until now.

I just discovered the new Strikelight while at the SHOT show in Las Vegas. This handy flashlight packs several life-saving tools into one device. It’s not the smallest light in the world…but considering how it could save your life that’s A-OK.

3 – Reducing the survival tool burden makes life easier:  Thanks to living in an era of modern convenience things are nicer and easier to work with. And that’s true of pretty much everything. People aren’t pushing plows through fields anymore.

As a matter of fact, while some people complain about modern conveniences, I can’t imagine anyone wishing they all disappeared.

That’s why SHTF prepping is literally anticipating a worst scenario. That way in the event something goes wrong we can maintain our modern way of living.

Moreover,  it’s also one of the best reasons to reduce the survival tool burden.

When you do you’re using technology in a way that will make life easier and more manageable in a crisis.

He works. If you have a 5-in-1 multi-shovel, you don’t need to carry additional tools with you to get several jobs. That one tool will do almost everything you need it to do. In the process, it saves you time, saves you energy, and saves you hassle.

What the remote is to making watching TV easier reducing the survival tool burden is to prepping.

That’s why I’m so excited about the new Strikelight.

There’s a video showing you exactly how the Strikelight works on the next page.

As far as I’m concerned, the Strikelight’s amazing not only because it makes life easier…it also gives you peace of mind most other tools can’t. Check it out here.survival tool burden

Will You Be Reducing The Survival Tool Burden Soon?

As you can plainly see, there are several, distinct benefits to using survival gear that packs several tools into one.

Once you realize there’s a distinct financial as well as tactical advantage to reducing the survival tool burden it’s just a matter of pulling the trigger.

In my opinion, these are the best places to start.

Get a multitool.  I highly recommend you purchase something like a leatherman (or similar) so you can reduce how many tools you carry in your survival kit

Get a 5-in-1 shovel. But make sure to get a nicer one. The ones that cost under $20 are crap. I suggest shopping around for a solid one since they’re great for camp.

Get the Strikelight. I was so impressed with the Strikelight when I first saw it I was giddy when I was it.

The Strikelight is a super-bright flashlight. It’s equipped with several emergency features that’ll make mincemeat of night. But it’s most incredible feature is how it’ll destroy bad guys.

At first the only downside I saw to the StrikeLight was its price. At the SHOT show it was $129.95.

But because I’ve got great relationships with tons of survival companies I was given the chance to give it to my readers for WAY cheaper than that.

Mayorkas in Hot Seat For Allegedly Encouraging Illegals to Vote for Biden

secretary-alejandro-mayorkas-department-homeland-security1

During a recent congressional budget hearing, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas found himself under intense scrutiny by Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) concerning a deeply troubling allegation. The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project reported the discovery of a flyer, purportedly from Resource Center Matamoros, which brazenly encourages migrants to vote for President Joe Biden, promising, “We need another four years of his term to stay open.” This inflammatory material, allegedly found by independent journalists in Mexico and reported by Muckraker, raises grave concerns about the integrity of our electoral process.

The flyer, still unverified by mainstream media outlets and missing from the Resource Center Matamoros’s official resources, points to a potential scandal of significant proportions. The implications are severe—suggesting a concerted effort to manipulate U.S. elections by influencing the migrant population, a group explicitly ineligible to participate in our voting system.

Rep. Bishop confronted Mayorkas directly: “The Heritage Foundation Oversight Project has released this document that is allegedly a flyer distributed by a non-governmental organization in Mexico called the Resource Center Matamoros … which is said to read, in part, if translated, ‘Reminder to vote for President Biden when you are in the United States. We need another four years of his term to stay open,'” illustrating a critical lapse in border security and immigration enforcement under the current administration.

Mayorkas’s response was both dismissive and inadequate, stating that “individuals who are not citizens of the United States cannot vote in federal elections” and claiming that DHS does not oversee election enrollments but merely enforces border policies. However, this response starkly highlights the core issue—the Biden administration’s lax enforcement and oversight policies, which have allowed millions, including two million undocumented ‘got-aways,’ to potentially exploit loopholes in the electoral registration process.

Secretary Mayorkas and the Biden administration must be held accountable for their role in what appears to be a flagrant disregard for the laws that safeguard both our borders and our ballots. This incident is not an isolated blip but a symptom of a broader, more disturbing trend under Secretary Mayorkas’s DHS: a deliberate softening of immigration policies that seem designed to favor political over practical interests.

It’s imperative for the integrity of our democratic process that thorough investigations are conducted. If migrants are indeed being instructed, implicitly or explicitly, to support a particular political outcome, such actions must be met with the full force of the law. We must demand more than lackluster assurances from our leaders; we need concrete actions and transparent accountability to restore faith in our immigration system and electoral integrity.

Biden’s Blunders: Scripted Leadership in Crisis Times?

arlington-va-usa-may-29-2023

Once again, President Biden has been caught on camera, not trusting his own words during crucial moments. During a recent Oval Office meeting with Iraq’s Prime Minister, while the world reels from a violent missile and drone attack by Iran on Israel, Biden couldn’t step away from his pre-written scripts.

Photographs reveal that Biden, aged 81, resorted to a detailed cheat sheet, which embarrassingly included all-caps stage directions for pausing, allowing for translation. This was during his first public address since the devastating attack on Israel over the weekend. The contrast was stark next to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’a Al-Sudani, who spoke freely, without the aid of notes.

Instead of addressing the nation live while missiles were still threatening lives, the White House chose to “call a lid” early in the evening, opting only to release staged photos of Biden in the Situation Room. It was only after the immediate crisis had eased that Biden communicated with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to express U.S. support, and convened a discussion with G7 leaders—again, following the script too cautiously, reportedly urging Netanyahu to limit Israel’s response, seemingly more worried about political optics than decisive leadership.

In public, Biden stated, “The United States is committed to Israel’s security…We are committed to a cease-fire that will bring the hostages home and prevent the conflict from spreading further.” Yet, these words, read from his script, now ring hollow, reflecting a pattern of relying on scripted safety nets even in supposedly spontaneous discussions.

This tendency to lean heavily on pre-written prompts was noted not only in moments of international crisis but also in less formal settings like private fundraisers, causing discomfort among his own supporters, as per reports from Axios.

As crises unfold, the leader of the free world should be expected to address his nation and the world with conviction and authenticity, not hide behind carefully curated words. The frequent appearance of Biden’s cheat sheets raises concerning questions about his ability to lead through unscripted challenges—where real leadership is tested not by the ability to follow a script, but to speak from the heart and adapt with strength.

Migrant Invaders Brazenly Charge at Swimmers in Speedboat

juarez-mexico-12212022-hundreds-migrants-wait

In a blatant affront to American sovereignty, a dozen illegal immigrants executed a dangerous and illegal invasion of our shores, arriving at a California beach via speedboat with reckless disregard for the safety of Americans enjoying their leisure time. One surfer narrowly escaped harm as the vessel tore through the water at high speeds, a clear symbol of the contempt these lawbreakers hold for our laws and our people.

This latest episode in Carlsbad, a mere 30 miles north of San Diego, is a chilling reminder of the organized lawlessness that is being orchestrated across our borders. Once ashore, these illegal entrants scurried toward luxury vehicles, suggesting a level of premeditation and support that borders on an invasion facilitated by criminal networks.

Compounding the audacity of this episode was the abject failure of local law enforcement to respond, leaving law-abiding citizens to fend for themselves. Such incidents underscore a terrifying erosion of law and order, signaling to criminals everywhere that our borders are open for exploitation.

This incident is not an anomaly but a stark representation of a broader crisis fueled by a border policy that might as well hang a welcome sign for criminals and opportunists. The alarming influx of illegal crossings, particularly in the San Diego sector—where nearly 7,000 breaches were reported last week alone—is a direct result of deliberate inaction and misguided policies that invite chaos and endanger American lives.

The economic and social strain this unchecked immigration inflicts on our communities is unsustainable. The closure of local migrant shelters, once hemorrhaging millions of taxpayer dollars monthly, is a testament to the fiscal burden imposed by these continuous waves of illegal entrants. This burden has now shifted to our airports and bus stations, turning them into makeshift shelters and degrading the quality of life for residents and tourists alike.

It is evident that our current administration lacks the will to address this crisis effectively. The projected figures are a dire warning: with over 8 million people potentially on our streets, including two million with criminal intentions, the situation is nothing short of a national emergency.

Congress must act with urgency to secure our borders and overhaul an immigration system that has been exploited far too long. We need robust enforcement of our immigration laws, substantial penalties for those who violate them, and an end to policies that encourage illegal entry into our country. The time for tolerance of this disorder is over. The safety, security, and sovereignty of the United States must be enforced rigorously and without apology. We must protect American citizens and the integrity of our nation.
