(ConcernedPatriot.com) – Even though most Americans think he shouldn’t run again, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, 80, said on Tuesday morning that he will pursue a second term in office.
President Joe Biden has made it official with a video broadcast to his social media sites, two weeks after telling Al Roker on the Today Show at an Easter Egg hunt at the White House that he intended to run for office in 2024.

“Every generation faces a time when they must defend democracy. to defend their fundamental rights. I think we own this,” Biden wrote.
“I’m running for re-election as president of the United States because of this. Rejoin us. Let’s complete the task.”
Biden would turn 86 by the end of a probable second term in office, making him the oldest president in American history at 80.
In a poll released this week, 70% of Americans, including 51% of Democrats, said Biden should step down and not seek re-election.
Nearly half of those polled who opposed his re-election cited the president’s advanced age as a critical concern.

President Biden warned that the upcoming election will be a “battle for the soul of America” in his campaign kickoff video, which opens with scenes from January 6th and features topics like abortion and LGBTQ.
Using pictures of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, and former president Donald Trump—who has already declared his candidacy—Biden warned that “MAGA extremists” are attempting to take away Americans’ social security benefits, despite the Republican Party’s opposition to such measures.
In his attempt for re-election, Mr. Biden will have opposition from the Republicans and Democratic contender Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who is already polling well in the double digits after declaring his candidacy.
