MTG Seeks to DEFUND Special Counsel Investigating Trump

( – It was reported on Monday by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) that she was drafting legislation to cut off funding for the special counsel inquiry against former President Donald Trump.

She tweeted, “I’m writing an appropriations rider this morning to DEFUND Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office and entire investigation.”

Additionally, she promised to oppose any budget package that provided funding for the “weaponization of government.”

“I will not vote for ANY appropriations bill to fund the weaponization of government,” she continued. “I sincerely hope that every single one of my Republican colleagues will join me.”

On 31 charges of alleged deliberate retention of sensitive national security information under the Espionage Act, Smith accused Trump last Thursday.

No president has never been charged with breaking the Espionage Act.

The accusations were made on the same day that members of the House Oversight Committee’s Republican party obtained an FBI document in which an informant said that President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden were involved in a bribery conspiracy with a Ukrainian businessman in which they would both receive $5 million.

Since the indictment, according to a recent article by Breitbart News, there has been a growing chorus of calls from conservative commentators for Republicans to remove Biden from office.

Since the start of Biden’s presidency, Greene has been among the few House Republicans to push for his impeachment.

After the special counsel charged Trump, she called again.
