Most Americans Say FBI Raid on Trump Motivates Them to Vote

According to a Convention of States Action/Trafalgar Group poll released Wednesday, most Americans are motivated to vote in the midterm elections by the FBI’s raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

The survey asked, “Does the FBI raid on President Trump increase your motivation to vote in the 2022 election?”

70.4 percent believe the FBI raid on Trump’s home will increase their motivation to vote in the 2022 election, while 21.6 percent believe it will not. Another 8.1% are still undecided.

More than half of Democrats (55.2%) said it would increase their motivation to vote. Meanwhile 83.3 percent of Republicans said it would motivate them to vote in November.
71.7 percent of Independents said it would encourage them to vote in November.

Furthermore, the survey discovered 47.9 percent believe “Trump’s political enemies” are behind the raid, while 39.7 percent believe the “impartial justice system” is behind it. 76.7 percent of Republicans believe Trump’s political opponents are behind the raid.

The survey was conducted from August 8 to 10, 2022, among 1,095 likely general election voters, with a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percent.
It comes days after the FBI’s raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate

Following the raid, which has enraged the conservative base, top Republicans have called for an investigation. According to Eric Trump, his father’s fundraising is now at an all-time high.
