MEDIA CENSORSHIP: MSNBC's Rachel Maddow REFUSES to Share Live Broadcast of Trump

(ConcernedPatriot.com) – Conservatives ridiculed MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow for stating that the network couldn’t “knowingly broadcast untrue things” to justify not carrying former President Donald Trump’s post-indictment statement live.

On Tuesday, the highly compensated anchor and Russia-gate enthusiasts joined MSNBC’s special coverage of the historic federal charges against Trump.

They discussed why the liberal network chose not to broadcast Trump’s speech to supporters in Bedminster, New Jersey, in real-time.

“As we have said before, in these circumstances, there is a cost to us as a news organization to knowingly broadcast untrue things,” she said. “We are here to bring you the news.

“It hurts our ability to do that if we live broadcast what we fully expect in advance to be a litany of lies and false accusations, no matter who says them. And I do not say this with any glee.”

“Rachel Maddow will choose the lies that the general public should be exposed to. That’ll work out great,” author Jason Whitlock responded on Twitter.

Right-wing website The Post Millennial referred to Maddow as a “disgraced propagandist,” while outspoken White House correspondent Simon Ateba termed her comments “a lie.”

A montage of media coverage on COVID-19, which includes outspoken remarks on vaccines on MSNBC and other networks, was posted by video editor Matt Orfalea.

In 2021, Maddow asserted that “vaccines work well enough that the virus stops with every vaccinated person,” however, this was later proven to be inaccurate.

Although the vaccines have successfully prevented severe consequences, they have not stopped people from contracting or spreading the virus to others.

Maddow was also one of the spokespersons for MSNBC’s obsession with the Trump-Russia conspiracy claim for years and its promotion of the ultimately debunked Christopher Steele dossier.

The liberal claim that the Hunter Biden laptop was a product of a Russian disinformation effort has also been disproved. MSNBC has come under fire for spreading it in recent years.

“Proving she has no sense of irony whatsoever, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow said there’s a cost for her network to ‘knowingly broadcast untrue things,'” conservative media expert Kevin Tober wrote for NewsBusters.

Progressives in the media applauded the network’s stance. Oliver Darcy, an outspoken media reporter for CNN, tacitly applauded Maddow by retweeting her response without adding any additional context.

Additionally, he pointed out that CNN didn’t broadcast Trump’s speech live and couldn’t help but poke fun at his old boss Chris Licht in his newsletter on Tuesday night.

Darcy said, “The decision to not broadcast Trump’s words live marked a significant change from how the network handled Trump’s address following his New York arraignment.”

“In that instance, CNN aired the majority of Trump’s remarks under the former boss Chris Licht,” he added.

Trump blasted the Biden administration for engaging in “election interference” with his “sham” federal prosecution in his address to supporters, calling it “the most heinous abuse of power in the history of our country.”

Trump, the current front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, entered a not-guilty plea to 37 federal felony counts in Miami federal court on Tuesday.

These charges arise from an investigation into his alleged improperly keeping confidential records at Mar-a-Lago. He could potentially spend the rest of his life in prison if he receives the punishment.
