(ConcernedPatriot.com) – Police have named Sai Varshith Kandula, 19, as the driver of the rental box truck that slammed through security barriers outside the White House on Monday evening.
According to Fox News, Kandula is accused of trespassing, destroying federal property, assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless driving, and threatening to kill, kidnap, or damage the President, Vice President, or their family, among other offenses.
Officials disclosed his identity on Tuesday and stated he was from Chesterfield, a suburb of St. Louis. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident.

According to the Associated Press (AP), the truck was searched by the Secret Service and the Metropolitan Police Department following the collision.
A police officer is seen in a video shot by WUSA-TV looking through several items of evidence from the truck, including the Nazi flag.
Following the collision, police officers picked up the flag and plastic evidence bags spread out on the pavement. According to a Reuters photographer, they put them in the back of the U-Haul.
The driver may have purposely hit the security barriers in Lafayette Square, according to a preliminary investigation, the Secret Service’s Anthony Guglielmi wrote on Twitter.
No other information about the potential cause was provided by the authorities.
One of the most well-known places for protests in the country is Lafayette Square, which affords possibly the best public view of the White House.
Amid widespread protests following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, federal authorities fenced off the area, forcing the park to close for almost a year. However, it reopened in May 2021.
