JUSTIFIED? Marine Vet Faces Manslaughter Charges In Subway Killing

(ConcernedPatriot.com) – Veteran U.S. Marine Daniel Penny turned himself into the authorities on Friday in New York to be charged with manslaughter in Jordan Neely’s murder.

After allegedly yelling threats on the New York City F train, Neely, a mentally ill homeless man with more than 40 arrests, was pulled to the ground and put in a chokehold by Penny and two others.

During the incident, Neely passed out, and doctors could not revive him.

Following more than a week of pressure from leftist activists like Al Sharpton and the corporate legacy media, Penny was charged with manslaughter.

If Penny is found guilty of second-degree manslaughter, he may spend up to 15 years behind bars. No charges were brought against the two other men who wrestled Neely to the ground.

A 66-year-old female witness claimed Neely had threatened passengers before Penny’s involvement in anonymous comments to the New York Post.

“I’m praying for Penny, and I hope he has a fantastic attorney. And I sincerely hope that he is handled fairly,” the witness continued.

‘I don’t care,’ he [Neely] remarked. He would murder people on the train, so I’ll take a bullet, I’ll go to jail,” the witness recounted. “I would kill a motherf***er, he declared. I could care less. I’ll take the shot. I’ll get arrested.”

In a Reddit post, Neely was allegedly accused of unpredictable and aggressive behavior on the New York subway nine years ago.

New Yorkers are advised in the post to “try to stay away from the Michael Jackson impersonator if you see him.”

The Reddit member who provided the links claimed that Neely was the post’s topic.

The post called Neely “a scary dude” and said MTA employees did nothing as Neely “blew his gasket” and was “going off, cussing up a storm.”

“Train arrives, and I quickly board it in the car he’s not in since I am positively not boarding it with him… I was afraid that someone would fall onto the tracks and hurt the passengers who were sitting next to him.”

Attorneys for Daniel Penny claimed to the media that their client acted to protect everyone aboard the F train and himself.

“Daniel Penny, with the assistance of others, acted to protect themselves until help arrived when Mr. Neely began threatening Daniel Penny and the other passengers aggressively.”

“Daniel could not have predicted Mr. Neely’s sudden death and never intended to harm him. We hope this terrible event will spur our political representatives to renew their commitment to addressing the mental health issue plaguing our streets and subways.”

“Neely’s death served as a reminder of the need to remove mentally ill persons off the streets,” according to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who has come under fire from the left for not harshly enough denouncing Penny.

“It should be noted that many people made an effort to get Jordan the support he required,” Adams added.

“The terrible aspect of severe mental illness is that some people who have it are occasionally oblivious of the need for care for themselves.”
