EF-4 Tornado Devastates Mississippi: Weatherman – “Oh, man. Dear Jesus please help them.”

(ConcernedPatriot.com) – 48 hours after a tornado tore across the Mississippi Delta, Carroll, Humphreys, Monroe, and Sharkey counties in Mississippi received federal funding due to an emergency declaration on Sunday morning.

In over a decade, it was the deadliest weather catastrophe to strike one of the most underprivileged areas in the United States.

According to the Associated Press (AP), the powerful storm tore through several towns along its hour-long path, killing 25 people and injuring many more in the South.

Many National Weather Service locations reported that at least ten tornadoes were responsible for the area’s devastation.

In Alabama, a man was killed after his trailer house flipped multiple times.

Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator (FEMA) Deanne Criswell was scheduled to visit the state on Sunday to evaluate the destruction, AP reports, as FEMA Coordinating Officer John Boyle began to oversee federal recovery operations.

The White House said in a statement that when President Joe Biden declared an emergency, federal cash could be used for recovery initiatives, including temporary housing, house repairs, loans covering uninsured property losses, and other individual and company programs.

Even though the recovery process has only just begun, the National Weather Service warned about additional storms expected to develop across parts of eastern Texas on Sunday afternoon before moving into Louisiana, Mississippi, and eventually Alabama through the afternoon and evening.

These storms can produce colossal hail, tornadoes, and fierce winds.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Level 3 out of 5 risk for severe storms across portions of eastern Louisiana, south-central Mississippi, and south-central Alabama.

Jackson, Hattiesburg, Meridian in Mississippi, Montgomery, and Prattville in Alabama are threatened.

According to the center, “Large hail to very large hail should be the main threat with any supercell, damage-causing winds, and a few tornadoes are probable.”

Our hearts and prayers go out to our fellow Americans in Mississippi.
