Legal experts say it is unlikely that any jail time will be part of Hunter Biden’s agreement with President Joe Biden’s Justice Department, according to NBC News.
Mike Davis, the founder and president of the pro-Trump Article III Project and a former Chief Counsel for Nominations to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, wrote on Twitter that Hunter “will get no jail time for being the bagman for Joe Biden’s vast foreign corruption.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) criticized Hunter Biden’s plea agreement.
“Hunter Biden pleading guilty to a gun charge and misdemeanor tax charges with no jail time is a stunt to make him look like he is just cooperating with the DOJ,” she wrote on Twitter.

“Hunter Biden would be facing decades in federal prison if DOJ treated him like the thousands of no-names who face prosecution,” said Brett L. Tolman, executive director of Right on Crime.
“When completing the ATF Form 4473 to obtain a gun, Hunter Biden might have lied about his history of drug use. False responses on that form are punishable by fines up to $250,000 and/or ten years in prison.”

The choice to finally charge Hunter Biden rested with David Weiss, the US Attorney David Trump selected.
Attorney General Merrick Garland declared in March that any prospective charges against the president’s son would require his personal approval.
