Democrats Choose 'America’s Murder Capital' For 2024 DNC Convention

( – In a puzzling move that appears to be an in-kind donation to the Republican Party, Democrats have decided to hold the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, the “murder capital” of the United States.

The convention will take place from August 19 to 22, 2024, one month after the Republican National Convention, which will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, an hour to the north, from July 15 to 18.

Democrats, on the other hand, picked a reliably “blue” state that hasn’t supported a Republican presidential candidate since the election of 1988, while Republicans chose a swing state.

Furthermore, the state and city are frequently used to illustrate Democratic policy failures.

There is no end to Chicago’s 11-year streak of dominating the country in homicides. After voters ousted inept Mayor Lori Lightfoot, Brandon Johnson, a known left-leaning candidate, took her position as the new mayor last week.

Johnson, a radical Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) leader, and former teacher, endorse many practices that have failed kids in urban education systems.

Businesses and residents are leaving the city in response to his proposals to hike nearly all taxes, following a long-standing pattern.

Cook County, where Chicago is located and where Johnson has served as a commissioner, lost 94,344 residents last year, second only to Los Angeles County regarding population moving to more favorable areas.

Yet, it’s possible that the Democrats, who could select President Joe Biden for reelection, are thinking back in time.

In 1996, when President Bill Clinton easily won reelection, Chicago last played host to the Democratic National Convention. Naturally, it is also where President Barack Obama decided to launch his political career.

The 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, where radical leftists rioted in the streets and violence even broke out on the convention’s floor, may serve as a less favorable Chicago example for Republicans.

According to Politico, President Biden himself and Jaime Harrison, chair of the Democratic National Committee, played a role in the choice of Chicago over New York City and Atlanta.

It was the second time in recent years that Democrats had shunned Atlanta; in the previous instance, Major League Baseball had to relocate the All-Star Game due to a (since upheld) voting legislation due to pressure from the party and left-wing organizations.

Maybe this will allow many Democrats to see first-hand how their policies have failed cities like Chicago.
