Border Crisis: Biden Sends 1,500 Troops To Defend Border As Title 42 Ends

( – The Biden administration would deploy 1,500 active-duty troops to the border with Mexico to halt a predicted migrant influx after lifting limitations imposed during the pandemic.

Officials told AP News that the Marines would instead perform data entry, warehouse support, and other administrative activities so that U.S. Customs and Border Protection may concentrate on fieldwork.

They are not expected to detain any migrants or carry out any law enforcement operations. The deployment will take approximately three months, though it may need extended if necessary. It was unclear when they would deploy at first.

A “surge of migrants” is anticipated on May 11, when the Biden administration is set to relax the pandemic-era limits imposed by the Trump administration that permitted Border Patrol agents to turn away border crossers.

The Marines will join the 2,700 National Guard members who have already deployed there to stifle the migrant flow. Republicans criticized the Biden administration for its mismanagement of the border in response to the announcement.

Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC) tweeted, “The way this administration has handled the border is a complete dereliction of duty to the safety and security of the American people.”

“Authorize the use of military force against the cartels NOW!” tweeted Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN).

Think about this…

The Biden administration will hire 87,000 new IRS agents to come after the American people, but will only send 1,500 military personnel to the border?

This should tell you everything you need to know about the priorities of this administration.
