(ConcernedPatriot.com) – On Wednesday, the far-left “Squad” in Congress member Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) presented legislation establishing a federal reparations scheme for black Americans.
The resolution’s draft states that the United States “has a moral and legal obligation to provide reparations for the enslavement of Africans and its lasting harm on the lives of millions of Black people” within the nation.

The resolution also demands that $14 trillion be given to black Americans to reduce the income gap between races.
“The only way we get closer to [reparations] is if we start putting forward those bills that speak to it and are very clear about what reparations could look like,” Bush stated in an interview.
Since Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-MI) in 1989 and later by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), reparations bills have been proposed in Congress; however, neither has been passed.
According to the Washington Post, Bush’s resolution would likely have the same outcome:
“The political path forward for Bush’s resolution also remains murky. During the 2020 Democratic primary election, The Post asked candidates if they thought the federal government should pay reparations to the descendants of enslaved people.
Nearly all of the leading contenders, including Joe Biden, said that they supported a comprehensive study of the issue.
While public opinion polls have shown that the number of Americans who support reparations for Black Americans has grown significantly over the last 20 years, the idea remains broadly unpopular.
A 2021 Post poll found just 28 percent of Americans supported reparations, while 65 percent opposed paying cash reparations to the descendants of enslaved Black people.
While 46 percent of Democrats favored the idea, 92 percent of Republicans opposed it. Two-thirds of Black respondents supported the idea, but only 18 percent of White respondents did.”
Dreisen Heath, a supporter of reparations, claimed that the window of opportunity for such radical legislation in 2020 during the George Floyd murder issue had already closed.
“We wasted the opportunity when demands, including reparations, were on the table during the summer of 2020,” Heath told the Post. “Three years later, people are still dying, circumstances, both economically and politically, have not changed, and we’re in economic circumstances that are uncannily similar to those that existed when important civil rights legislation was passed in the 1960s,” the author writes.
Wow. Civil Rights leader leaves Dr. Phill & his audience speechless after rejecting the idea of “systemic racism” & reparations.

Bill is a “positive movement” ahead, according to William Darity, a Duke University professor of public policy who also provided advice on Bush’s resolution.
According to Breitbart News, when his task team suggested it, Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom stated he would favor paying economic reparations to black Americans living in his state.
Other non-cash proposals made by the committee include overturning the will of the people and abolishing the rule that prohibits California from implementing racial-based policies, such as affirmative action, in state initiatives, according to the study.
“How California would make cash reparations payments is unclear. A $100 billion budget surplus that Newsom had last year has now turned into a $32 billion deficit this year, and similar issues now exist in San Francisco, which is pursuing reparations.”
California’s planning to give out $800 billion in reparations, which would raise Californians taxes by $25,000. Gavin Newsom got everyone riled up for a big payday, but there’s no money to make this work. pic.twitter.com/bDGFM9WlsQ
