(ConcernedPatriot.com) – At a press conference from Germany, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley stated that the United States and its allies could continue to fight in the Ukraine because they are “rich.”
Milley was asked: “President Zelenskyy said this weekend that U.S. military aid to Ukraine is arriving far too late. Do Ukraine’s military partners have the industrial capacity to enable Ukraine to make major gains in another fighting season?”
Milley responded: “…you asked about the capacity. Can we continue to do this? The short answer is yes, we can continue to do this, and the United States and its allied countries are rich, powerful, with significant resources, military resources that are capable of sustaining this fight, in President Biden’s words, as long as it takes.”
He added, “And that’s what the intent is of our political leadership of all of the nations of Europe and around the world, actually, and the United States, and that’s exactly what we, the military, will do. We’ll do what we’re directed to do, and we’re going to do it as long as it takes.”
“Slava Ukraini,” which translates to “Glory to Ukraine,” was how Milley concluded his opening statement at the news conference.

Milley’s comments coincide with the ongoing debate in the U.S. Congress over whether to authorize an additional $24 billion in aid to Ukraine on top of the $113 billion that has already been given since Russia invaded the nation in February 2022.
According to recent polls, Americans are growing less inclined to offer Ukraine additional aid.
According to an August CNN poll, most Americans are against increasing U.S. aid to Ukraine.
Zelensky will meet with politicians and American leaders on Thursday in Washington, D.C.
In less than a year, this is his second journey. On his first visit, he addressed a joint session of Congress in December. Following his speech, he presented a Ukraine flag to Vice President Kamala Harris and then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Though he was greeted as a hero the last time, he may encounter more significant skepticism this time, especially since there is no sign of an end to the conflict.
Just approximately one month remain for the Ukrainian counteroffensive, backed by the West, to accomplish its goal before the winter weather arrives.
President Joe Biden and his Pentagon allies have reaffirmed their unwavering support for Ukraine despite the counteroffensive’s patchy outcomes.
These are your tax dollars at work. Shame on this administration.
